HEP HEP HOORAY! Filipino Creators Take the Stage at NAS Summit Bangkok
Bangkok recently became the centre stage for one of the biggest gatherings of storytellers, innovators, and creators, the NAS Summit. And of course, the Filipino community was there to proudly raise the flag for the Philippines.
We met fellow Filipinos from different parts of the world, all passionate about content creation and storytelling. It was inspiring to see how far Filipino talent has reached, not just in Thailand but across the globe. Among the many inspiring voices were Jen Barangan, who has been an inspiration to many travellers, Abigail Marquez, a famous Filipino food vlogger, and Ace Gapuz, the CEO of Blogapalooza, who continues to pave the way for Filipino influencers and brands to collaborate and grow together. We were also glad to see Jamrell Buynay, a Bangkok based travel and lifestyle content creator, who attended the summit and represented the Filipino creator community in Thailand.
We also met Eliz, a Filipino managing director of a business based in Bali, Indonesia. She is not only a content creator but also a brave entrepreneur who put her business on the line by joining a live stage “business roast” at the summit. Her courage showed the strength and resilience of Filipinos in the creative and business world, no matter where they are.
The summit was not just about networking, it was also a space for learning. We joined workshops that opened our eyes to the power of AI in content creation, with creators like Techguyver showing how these tools can enhance storytelling, efficiency, and creativity. From practical tips to future possibilities, the discussions gave us fresh perspectives on how we can improve our own work.
Most importantly, the NAS Summit became a place for connection. Meeting creators from different backgrounds reminded us that storytelling has no boundaries. We left not only with new knowledge but also with friendships, potential collaborations, and exciting ideas for the future.
At the end of the day, what stood out most was this: wherever we are in the world, Filipinos continue to shine. We are storytellers, innovators, and dreamers. And here in Thailand, we are proud to be part of that global movement, carrying our culture, creativity, and heart wherever we go.
Mabuhay ang Filipino creators!
